We are hoping you are interested in sponsoring our children for our school’s annual Serve-A-Thon. The Serve-A-Thon teaches the students to follow Jesus’ example of service to others.
The Serve-A-Thon gives our children the opportunity to serve within the community while raising funds to support their school and keep Christian education at the forefront of their lives. The theme for this year is, “…And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
Every WSCS student in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade participates in a service event. Each student will spend approximately 3 hours with their class volunteering in various projects around our community before February. There will be no charge to these individuals or organizations for our service. Some of last year’s activities included a patriotic presentation at the Veteran’s Home, collecting, sorting, boxing and loading shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child, assisting Lighthouse Mission with a Food Outreach, and preparing and distributing food items for several senior citizen complexes.
To raise funds, the students are requesting sponsorship for their time spent serving. Please consider supporting our children as they serve the Lord. Any amount would be helpful and very much appreciated as we celebrate our 71st year of providing a Christ centered education for our children. Our goal is to raise $20,000 for our school so that we can continue to be accessible to all who desire a Christian education.
