5th & 6th Grade
This summer, all middle school and high school students will be required to do summer reading for English class. You will be reading Miracles on Maple Hill by Virginia Sorenson. Below, there is also a guided reading packet for you to fill out as you read the book. I suggest that you do a little at a time and do not leave it all for the last minute before school starts.
This packet and book should be handed in on the first full day of school. It will count as your first test grade for the quarter. I hope you enjoy this encouraging book and have a wonderful summer.

All students in grades 7-8 are required to read The Cay by Theodore Taylor. Attached you will find a reading packet which must be completed along with the book. You will receive a grade for the packet and there will be a test on this book during the first week of school.
